Incredible find. This is a place worth the drive if you are even remotely close to the area. They call it the 5 star gas station, and not just for any reason. These guys dish out some amazing food and from what I hear it rotates all the time. I came during the week at lunch time, but have heard from others that it can be incredibly busy at times. Had a burger with duck bacon and blackberry jam etc, so tasty! It’s definitely a staple around here and worth coming by to see the general store and eat (if you are lucky enough not to hit a massive line). Highly recommended!
Some people know me and food. Well today i had visited the Saxapahaw General Store order the "Burger, Home Fries, Sweet Tea". Let me tell you this, it was the "BEST BURGER & H.F. I have ever ate ! Talking about sustainable products and ingredients, organic locally grown, locally farmed raised. You can most definitely taste the difference. I will be back and with friends! Kudos to you and the team! #bestburger
Best healthy food joint on this side of the county unless you hit the Eddy. Pricey - yes, longer waits- sometimes, meals made your way - almost always willing to accommodate. Used to love your burgers but now they are deep fried, what happened? Atmosphere - always awesome! Check it out.
I have been going here for years. It is a little pricey but if you can afford it for a special occasion (or if you are ballin), the food is usually good. They source a lot of ingredients from local farms and gardens. Sometimes it seems to take forever, even for small orders, but the atmosphere is good for laying back and enjoying the time away fro town. I love the duck fat fries! This is a good place to take people who are visiting NC. I am giving 4 stars because last time I was there I saw some roaches run across the dining room floor. Ehh...
Awesome place to get food that is sourced from local farms that's made the way you want it. Willing to accommodate for anyone's dietary needs. NOTHING is deep fried here, as they do not have a deep fryer! They focus on the freshest possible ingredients. While you're at it, you can pick up some very interesting local artisan goods to give to your friends!
